Physical keyboards bottleneck the human mind. KeyboardHand replaces ABS plastic with spatial optical tracking. Type on any surface. 2ms latency. 0g actuation force.

Actuation Distance

0.0mm

No travel time. Gestures register instantly.

End-to-End Latency

2.4ms

Sub-frame response time via direct USB-C polling.

Tracking Resolution

0.1mm

Micro-gesture detection of individual phalanges.

Weight

18g

Total payload on the user's desk.

You are currently striking plastic 150,000 times a day. Your tendons absorb the shock of every single bottom-out. We mapped the geometry of the hand so you never have to hit a desk again.

Infrared Array, Not Cameras.

RGB cameras fail in low light and require massive compute overhead to parse frames. KeyboardHand relies on a bespoke 850nm stereoscopic IR sensor array. By flooding the focal zone with structured light, we track 26 distinct joints per hand at 120Hz without ever recording a single photograph.

01 / LOCAL COMPUTE

No Cloud Processing

Hand-tracking inference runs strictly locally on the on-board ARM Cortex-M7. Keystrokes are passed to the host OS as standard HID inputs. Your OS sees a generic USB keyboard.

02 / CHORDING OR QWERTY

Total Map Freedom

Retain your 10-finger QWERTY layout by typing on your desk, or switch to multi-finger chording for steno-speed input without leaving the home row.

03 / ZERO RSI

Bottom-Out Eliminated

Repetitive Strain Injury is driven by micro-impacts at the bottom of a keystroke. By typing on air or softly on a lap, impact force is permanently reduced to zero.

One simultaneous press outputs entire words or code blocks. Zero physical travel between keys.

Steno Speeds. Zero Keys.

Chording is how court reporters type at 250 WPM. Instead of pressing letters sequentially, you press multiple fingers at once to generate whole syllables.

Calculate Your Throughput.

Traditional keyboards max out at ~120 WPM for non-professionals due to physical finger travel time. Chording eliminates travel. Input your current physical metrics to see the optical delta.

  • Avg Mechanical WPM 60-80
  • Avg Optical Chording WPM 180-220
  • Actuation Delay 0ms

The Spatial Bridge.

If you use an HMD, text input is your bottleneck. Looking at virtual keys is slow. Holding your hands up causes "Gorilla Arm." KeyboardHand sits in your lap and tracks your fingers perfectly outside the headset's FOV.

Math, Not Photographs.

The 850nm IR array cannot read your screen or see your face. It projects structured light and measures depth distortion. Inference happens entirely on-device. No cloud. No bluetooth vulnerabilities. Just standard USB HID output.

Hack the Firmware.

We expose the raw 3D coordinate data for all 26 joints over serial. Bypass our HID emulation and build custom gestures for your specific workflow.

Designed for Everyone.

By dropping actuation force to 0g and allowing custom gesture maps, we enable high-speed input for users with severe arthritis or muscular dystrophy.

"It took me a month to unlearn QWERTY and adapt to chording. Now, using a physical keyboard feels like typing in molasses."
