The Text Input Bottleneck

Whether you are using an Apple Vision Pro or a Meta Quest, the primary hurdle to getting real work done (coding, writing, data entry) is text input. Voice dictation fails in open offices. Floating virtual keyboards are agonizingly slow and induce "gorilla arm." Bringing a mechanical keyboard into VR requires clunky passthrough windows just so you can see your keys.

KeyboardHand abstracts the keyboard entirely. By resting the sensor bar on your desk or lap, it creates a 60cm wide 3D tracking volume. You type in thin air. Because it utilizes chording, you do not need to look at your hands—ever. Your visual focus remains 100% on your spatial displays.

Absolute vs Relative Positioning

Our 850nm IR array uses relative positioning. This means it tracks the geometry of your fingers relative to *each other*, not relative to a fixed point on the desk. If you shift your posture, lean back, or move your hands to your lap, KeyboardHand instantly calibrates to the new center point.

This is a massive leap forward for ergonomics. You can work for 8 hours in an HMD without being anchored to a desk surface, permanently dropping your RSI risk.
